College Graduate Goes to College Just to become a Rapper?
"I Done Came Up, Now I Have to Hold it Down!"

Setting out in the world with grand ambitions to create a better path, one would think life would get easier with a college degree.

That was far from the truth.

Silas Price, also referred to as The Kid,  encounters the very same obstacles he set out to avoid.
From going viral, to house robberies, heartbroken and betrayed, to creating a brand, and ultimately finding himself--College was an experience-- to say the least.

Now a New College Grad, Life after college was not expected to go like this.
The daily battle between giving up on his dreams and find a real job or invest all his savings into his obsession?
There are no do overs.

From Opening for Kevin Gates, to Co-Headlining with Skizzy Mars,
A total of close to 100k digital plays between Youtube, Apple Music, Spotify,Soundcloud, and other streaming Platforms,

Silas has come a long way from his solo performance that led to him winning the talent show.
However in this industry, it takes more than just a few notable moments--
It takes a Movement.
All while in a city with diverse personalities, obstacles, and limited opportunities.
Small City.
Big Dreams.
Just a Kid from the 5.

The Project: A Kid from the 5
Artist Attends 4 Years of College just to become a Rapper?

Silas Price: “I did it to learn all the avenues of the industry and business. I wanted to limit external barriers to money and growth, and ultimately success.
Basically, I didn’t want some shithead to cheat me out of anything or be on that bullshit!”

A 12 Track EP displays right off the back that The Kid operates his own lane.
This EP takes the listener through a journey with Silas as he discusses life immediately after graduation:
High fun moments, beautiful women, trips, and cash inflow, while also struggling to experience love, handling finances of debt and bills piling up, and long-term friendships decaying.
All while dealing with the postlingering effects from the paranoia, trust issues, and shortcomings.

Songs like How You Like Me Now, 2 AM, and Brand New showcase the confidence and bouncy of his energetic flow.
Meanwhile, contrarily, songs such as
Old Days, Aries Love, and Gutters in The Trap showcase the sensual yet intimate--bold yet vulnerable-- side of the artist.

Additional fun songs such as Model Type (Take A Pic) and Ona Rise keeps the energy afloat
while songs such as Don't Talk No Mo and Talking Deep helps tie the EP together with those late night cognitive thoughts.

Just under 40 minutes, the soundtrack displays the many aspects of everyday life and the authentic emotions behind the moments that create them.
Lyrics that are both refreshing and relatable, alongside a volume of flows and melodies that showcase the range of the Artist.
Instrumentals that engulf the body with vibes and moods that you can’t help but feel.
This Project and Artist demands their audience's attention.

A Project that does not spotlight the fast money or a quick come up, but a Slow Roast Cook Up that takes time to reach its optimal form.
Its fun. It's chilled. It's moody. It's a Vibe.

AKFT5 embodies values of Hard Work, Perseverance, Humility, as well a Dedication to a dream that one refuses to give up on.
The Passion is Inspiring,
All in a city where 'you aren’t supposed to make it out.'

The Kid has Grown Up.
